Zeikhour rugs are a type of Caucasian carpet from the Kuba region of Azerbaijan, particularly associated with the village of Zeikhur.
These rugs are known for their fine weave, intricate geometric patterns, and well-defined compositions, often featuring detailed borders and repeating motifs.
Zeikhour carpets are considered among the finer examples of Kuba weaving.
Seychour rugs were made in the Kuba region with mostly a broad X repeated down the field with often Ivory, yellow or or rarely green field. Also typical is their use of "running dog' border and a particularly clear red in the inner border.
From Seychour also comes the Gol Farang (carpet of roses), a Caucasian version of European influenced designs with field packed with cabbage roses in vivid colors.
