Veramin (Varamin)

Veramin rugs are Persian carpets woven in the Varamin region southeast of Tehran. These rugs are typically associated with village and tribal weaving traditions, often featuring repeating geometric patterns, Mina Khani designs, and strong color contrasts. Veramin carpets are known for their durability and distinctive regional style. The town of Veramin is situated near Iran's capital city of Teheran, with a unique carpet production.

The dominant colors are dark blue, bright red, orange, and white, and the main design is a repeating interlaced daisy pattern, the so called Mina Khani.
