Perpedil rugs are a type of Caucasian carpet associated with the Kuba region of Azerbaijan. These rugs are known for their fine geometric patterns, repeating motifs, and precise weaving, typical of Kuba carpets. Perpedil rugs are admired for their clarity of design and detailed craftsmanship. Perpedil is the name of a town southeast of Kuba, in the Daghestan region of the Caucasus. These rugs were made exceptionally fine and dense and mostly with the co called Kufic border. They are distinguished by the unique shaped motif of a stylized ram horn. Perpedil rugs are highly in demand by collectors.
