Moon Shawl
Moon shawl refers to a type of design found in Kashmir shawls, characterized by circular or rounded motifs resembling the shape of the moon. These designs are often incorporated into the intricate woven patterns typical of Kashmiri textile production. Kashmir shawls are known for their fine weaving and detailed decorative elements. Kashmir is the northernmost state of India. Kashmir was noted for the intricately patterned hand woven shawls produced there, in the 18 and 19 Centuries. A very rare design in shawls is known as the Moon Shawl with the single round motif in the center. For their rarity they are highly collectible.
