Moghan
Moghan rugs are a type of Caucasian Kazak carpet associated with the Moghan region, located near the Caspian Sea. These rugs typically feature bold geometric designs and strong color contrasts, characteristic of Kazak weaving traditions. Moghan rugs are distinguished by their symmetrical use of color and a field that is packed with small blossom heads arranged in squares or pyramids. Inner borders may have typical Talish rosettes, but the main border is not always on a natural ground.
