Lori rugs are woven by the Luri tribes of southwestern Iran, particularly in the Zagros mountain region.

The Luris weave a variety of functional tribal pieces such as saddle bags, salt bags,Torbas, animal trappings and rugs, using different pile and flatweave structures. Some Luri rugs are often mistaken as Qashqai weaving.
