Lesgi rugs are a type of Caucasian carpet associated with the Lezgi people of the southern Dagestan and northern Azerbaijan regions. These rugs are known for their fine geometric designs, star motifs, and intricate compositions, characteristic of Caucasian weaving traditions. Lesgi carpets are highly regarded for their precision and clarity of design. Star motifs dominating the central panel are a typical feature of the Lesgi rugs. This design appears to have been especially popular for it was adopted in other regions of the Caucasus such as Kuba, Shirvan, Gendjah and Kazak.
