Lenkoran
Lenkoran rugs are a type of Caucasian carpet from the Lenkoran region in southeastern Azerbaijan, near the Caspian Sea. These rugs often display geometric patterns, medallions, and strong color contrasts, typical of Caucasian weaving traditions. Lenkoran carpets are appreciated for their regional character and bold design. Lenkoran rugs were made in the same region as Talish and Moghan and are distinguished by their unique shaped s shaped repeated medallions with angular hooks. These medallions were also adapted with some Northwest Persia and Kazak weavers.
