Konya
Konya rugs are woven in the Konya region of central Anatolia, Turkey, one of the oldest carpet-producing areas in Anatolia. These carpets often feature simple geometric patterns, prayer rug designs, and traditional motifs, reflecting early Anatolian weaving traditions. Konya rugs are historically significant and represent some of the earliest known Turkish carpet styles. The town of Konya is located in Central Anatolia and was probably the oldest rug weaving center in Turkey. The motifs and the traditions are derived from the ancient Turkoman, Seljuks and Ottoman culture.
