Kayseri, Geysari

Kaysari (Kayseri) rugs are woven in the Kayseri region of central Anatolia, Turkey. These carpets include both village and workshop productions, often featuring fine weaving, floral designs, and sometimes silk materials. Kayseri has been an important carpet-weaving center producing a wide range of styles. Kayseri has long been the center for the production of large quantities of silk or silk and cotton carpets for export, using old Anatolian or Persian patterns. Please note that Panderma rugs were also made in this region.
