Karapinar
Karapinar rugs are woven in the Karapinar region of central Anatolia, Turkey. These carpets belong to the group of Anatolian village rugs and often feature simple geometric designs, prayer rug formats, and strong natural colors. Karapinar rugs reflect the traditional weaving styles of central Anatolia. Karapinar is a name of a village in south central part of Anatolia. The translation of the word from Turkish is Black Spring, but the dominant colors are shades of red and yellows and many in a wide runner format.
