Jajim

Jajim is a type of flatwoven textile produced by Persian and Central Asian tribal groups, particularly in Iran. Unlike pile carpets, Jajims are woven using a simple weft-faced technique, resulting in thin, flexible textiles often decorated with striped or geometric patterns. Jajims are traditionally used as blankets, covers, or storage wraps, and form an important part of nomadic textile culture. A flat weave of narrow, warp faced stripes sewn together or a warp patterned weave. A flatweave with various brocade structures. The term is used ambiguously.
