Hereke
Hereke carpets are fine-quality rugs woven in the town of Hereke in western Turkey, near Istanbul. Originally produced for the Ottoman imperial court, Hereke carpets are known for their exceptionally fine weaving, intricate floral designs, and use of silk and high-quality wool. Many Hereke rugs feature elaborate medallion patterns and are considered among the finest examples of Turkish carpet weaving.
