Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are Persian tribal carpets traditionally woven by the Qashqai and other nomadic tribes of southwestern Iran. These rugs are known for their thick pile, simple geometric or abstract designs, and bold color fields. Gabbeh carpets were originally woven for personal use by nomadic families and often feature spontaneous motifs representing animals, landscapes, or everyday life. Because of their distinctive style and rich wool, Gabbeh rugs have become highly appreciated in modern interiors. Coarsely woven Persian rugs of tribal origin.
