Dorokhsh carpets are valued for their fine craftsmanship and elegant decorative style. Dorokhsh is a name of a town in the Khorasan region of Iran, Northeast Persia. The carpets made in this area were exceptionally finely woven and mostly multi colored. In the larger carpets exceptionally wide borders were made to emphasize the patterns.
