Dargezin, Dargazin

Dargezin is a rug-producing town in northwest Iran, located in the Hamadan region. Carpets from Dargezin belong to the broader group of Persian village rugs and typically display geometric medallions, stylized floral motifs, and traditional tribal designs. These rugs often feature strong natural colors and durable wool, reflecting the weaving traditions of rural Persian communities. Dargazin, Dergazine, Derghezin. A district and village of the Hamadan region of Iran. In volume, this is the most productive of the rug-weaving districts of Hamadan. Many runners are woven here.
