Cloud Lattice

Cloud lattice is a decorative motif found in Chinese carpets, consisting of interlocking shapes that resemble stylized clouds arranged in a lattice-like structure. This design reflects the importance of cloud imagery in Chinese art, where clouds often symbolize good fortune, heavenly power, and auspicious energy. Cloud lattice patterns are frequently used to create balanced and decorative background designs in Chinese rugs. A common all over field design of Chinese rugs consisting of four sided figure, each side being a bar with in curving ends. Where this design is used , the field is usually yellow with the lattice in blue.
