Baktiari

Bakhtiari rugs are woven by the Bakhtiari tribe of southwestern Persia (Iran), particularly in the mountainous region of the Zagros Mountains. These carpets are often recognized for their distinctive garden designs, which divide the field into multiple compartments filled with floral motifs, trees, or animals. This pattern is commonly known as the “Garden of Paradise” design. Bakhtiari rugs are valued for their strong tribal character, rich natural colors, and durable construction.
