Alpine Kuba
Alpine Kuba refers to a group of Caucasian rugs woven in the mountainous regions surrounding Kuba (Quba) in northern Azerbaijan. These rugs belong to the broader Kuba weaving tradition, which is known for its fine weave and intricate geometric patterns. Alpine Kuba rugs often display complex field designs, small-scale motifs, and vivid colors, including deep blues, reds, and ivory. The mountainous villages of this region produced many distinctive variations within the Kuba rug group.
