Millefleurs Rug

A design composed of many flower blossoms. Often the millefleurs design occupies the field of a prayer rug with the field flanked by cypresses. Such rugs were finely woven in Mughal India and southwestern Iran by Qashqai tribes. A similar design could be found in Hereke weaving as well.
