Braided Carpet

Strips of cloth with edges folded inward are braided together and the the braids are wound to produce a circular or oval rug. The braids may be stitched together or otherwise liked. Usually, waste of used fabric was braided for the rug. This method was used as an early method of carpet making in USA along with hooked rugs.
