Anatolian Kilims

Anatolian Kilims are among the most important elements of the Turkish cultural heritage which could be conveyed to the present. The migration of the Turkoman tribes into Anatolia has lead to a new cultural interaction in the field of Anatolian weaving. The combination of the Turkoman culture with the accumulations of the past civilizations and other ethnic groups led to the establishment of a rich kilim culture with powerful traits of color, motif, and composition.
