Chajili

A group of 19 Century rugs attributed to Shirvan in the Caucasus that display three or more large octagonal medallions. The medallions more closely resemble rectangles with clipped corners than true octagons. The medallions are in alternating light and dark colors. Knots density is high. Wefts may be cotton or wool.
