ORIENTAL RUGS DICTIONARY

Angora Goat

A goat of Turkish origin and source of Mohair, a long, coarse and lusterous fiber.  The Angora wool was usually used in Oushak  and Tulu weaving, either by itself or as a mixture with wool.  Please note that it is different from the Rabbit Angora, which was never used in carpet productions.
